Senior Adults
With a large number of Senior
adult members, Beech Street First Baptist Church strives to meet the
tremendously varied needs of that age group with a comprehensive program
that is deep-rooted, spiritually strong, motivating, encouraging, caring
and reflects the importance of Senior adults to the church.
Bible Study
Senior adults have classes for adults age 55 and older. These
include: men's, women's, and co-ed classes. Each meets at 9:10on Sunday
morning for assembly and study time.
Worship Services
Beech Street worships Sundays at 10:15 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the
sanctuary. This area is wheelchair accessible, with elevators to each
floor.
T.A.N.G.
Twice As Nice Gang meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month at
10:00 a.m. in the Family Activity Center. Fellowship, eating lunch, and
playing games are all a part of T.A.N.G. Occasionally a guest speaker is
invited.
The JoyTime Singers (Senior Adult Choir)
The most enthusiastic music group in our church meets at 4:00 each
Wednesday. We regularly sing in one or two Sunday evening services each
month, as well as attend and sing at local and state choir festivals,
nursing homes, and a local adult day care.
Aerobic Classes for Seniors
The Family Activity Center is the location to exercise each Monday and
Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. for fun and fitness.
Homebound Ministry
Literature is mailed to
those physically unable to attend. Our church services and a weekly Bible
Study are aired so that those unable to attend can still be a part of
Beech Street's worship.
