ENTRY GUIDELINES

THIS IS A CHILDREN'S ART EXHIBIT
Exhibition dates: August 12 - October 14, 2007

This exhibition is open to children only.

CHECKLIST FOR ENTRY:

1. Submit entry form and written description
2. Deliver completed work August 3, 2007.
3. May pick up work on or after October 15, 2007

GUIDELINES:

1. The theme is suggested, but not required (but works should still be Christian-oriented and suitable for exhibition in a church gallery). Theme-based works should explore the concept of God's glory through the eyes of His creation. Key words you may consider: Grace, knowledge, glory, forever.
2. Submit with your work a paragraph about your concept, along with the Scriptural basis for your piece (your choice of Scripture).
3. Artists may submit up to three works per exhibition.
4. Works must not contain any questionable content (“if in doubt, leave it out” -- or contact the gallery for guidance).
5. Works to be displayed are subject to acceptance by the Beech Street Gallery director.
6. Works may be any manageable medium (subject to approval), but no larger than 36"x44" framed.
7. Three-dimensional works may not take up more than a 24" w/d x 36" h area, and you may be asked to provide your own display unit.
8. Entries must be professionally framed, heavily matted, or on gallery-wrapped canvas.
9. Entries must be hand-delivered and already configured for framing by the deadline date. Works must use picture wire for hanging if they are larger than 10"x10".
10. No sales during the exhibit, but artists' personal information will accompany each entry and prospective buyers may contact you.
11. Artists must agree to have submitted works photographed for publicity and/or use in worship services or other events at Beech Street Baptist Church (no reproductions of works will be sold or distributed without permission of the artist).
12. No works accepted for exhibition may be withdrawn before the close of the exhibition. Artists must pick up their works (we cannot deliver or ship).
13. After the artist's work has been accepted, the artist may not substitute another work for the accepted entry.
14. Works must be original to the submitting artist, and may not be derivatives of published works or constructed from kits (pre-formed base materials, such as ceramics,
molded figures, etc.).
